Slow Process

Fast fashion has all but consumed the tradition of craftsmanship in garment making, trading the local seamstress for far-off factories to lower costs placing value on quantity over quality. In 2018, Slow Process sought to honor heritage by launching a line of men’s clothing using antique textiles and single-needle sewing machines to produce pieces that tell stories of an era past using historical narrative and craft integrity as their pattern. Seeking a manner to translate the power of these timeless pieces into digital format, much thought was put into the creation of unique and intriguing photographs whose outcome could tell the tale of each individual piece.
