Photographing an All Night Boogie Band show carries the same fire and intensity as the ‘50s and ‘60s blues explosion that shook the Western world. The intense respect and devotion this band’s leaders Jess Leone and Brendan Casey have to the musical past, from the greats of Elmore James and Muddy Waters to Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin, allow them to bring an unmatched fire and intensity to a catalog of blues standards and crowd-moving originals that are impossible to not find harmony within.

Maintaining an unspoken understanding of each other’s language, both musically and visually, we both dig from the same well when it comes to inspiration, seeing the cultural revolution and heritage of the ‘50s and ‘60s as a fundamental turning point for all we know and love in music.
